As I am looking into this new year & envisioning what it will hold for my business, I don't see numbers. I don't see social media stats or financials. Sure, these are things that are important on a certain level, and they won't be ignored... but what I see when I really focus in on what this year will hold (and what I want it to hold), I see people. I see dreamers who have become doers as they chase their goals. I see women fighting the good fight to not only be great mamas but to be great entrepreneurs. I see the women I will come to know & cheer for & celebrate. I see them transforming from feeling awkward & a little unsure at the beginning of a session to feeling like they're ready to take on the world with Beyonce-style confidence by the end of the session. That's what I see as I sit down to dream and plan of what 2020 will hold. Anyone else feeling the holiday hangover??? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️ Yesterday was full of de-Christmasing & cleaning the house & trying to get back on track before the break officially ends. While I’m feeling that weird adjustment from holiday to everyday, I do have to say there’s been at least one pleasant surprise this year! ✨
I usually hate putting away all the twinkle lights, trees & garland & feel like the house looks too empty/sad in January, but this year I actually looked forward to getting back to our more simple “normal” house. Maybe it’s because we didn’t travel & we had more time in the decorated/holiday version of our house, or maybe I’m just craving more simplicity & joy in the everyday things... either way, I’m happy to have started my morning in a clean, simple living room with the fire going & a cup of hot coffee in hand (that was finished before it got cold!!!!). ☕️ Here’s to simple, everyday joys in 2020, my friend! #holmesfamilycircus #happynewyear2020 #itsthelittlethings
