Cake Smash – Quinn

Y’all, I am soooo glad I got to photograph Quinn’s cake smash in Houston!! This girl is entirely too cute (as you can tell by the fact that I “narrowed” down her photos to about 1,023 for this blog post)!! Getting to see the rest of her sweet family, including big brother Wyatt (who happens to be a cake smash pro), & her mama – one of my all-time favorite people made me so happy!

From the sweet little gold sparkle and light pink tulle on her dress down to her perfectly pink little toenails, Quinn was ready for this! She has the funniest little facial expressions, with the best ones being reserved for her big brother and the cat haha. And her cake-eating style? I’m toooootally ok with it.

Those eyes!! Jason, you’re in trouble already!!

As if the outfits couldn’t get any cuter, then Jess busted this out! Precious!!

I know, Quinn!! I can’t believe you’re already turning one either!!!

Those pink little toenails & those pearls… be still my heart!!

Aaaand off they go!

I always love to watch the beginning of a cake smash when the little one just really has no idea what in the heck is going on, and then looking around with the disbelief that they’re actually allowed to just dig in and make an incredible mess if they want to!

And here’s that cake-eating style I mentioned. See? Most definitely my kind of girl.

Quinn, happy birthday little girl!!! You are just too sweet and I am so thankful that I’ve been able to help get images for you to be able to look back on as you grow up and see just how much you were loved from the very beginning. Enjoy your party & hopefully you get some more cake!

Cake Smash – Caleb

This past Saturday I got to hang out with one of my favorite little guys (and his parents) again, and it was too much fun! For the last session of our Little Ones package, Lauren, Zach & Caleb made the trip to Nacogdoches. I loved getting to have them over to the house to share some breakfast before letting Caleb dig into some cake!

Poor Caleb wasn’t feeling the best – darn teething – but he was still just as sweet as ever and did so so good.

I know the whole point of a cake smash session is to just straight up destroy the cake, but part of me was a little sad about it… I mean, how adorable is this cake by Treat Me Sweet Cupcakes?!?!?

As adorable as the cake is, it’s got NOTHING on this little man! What a cutie!

Getting this series was too funny… toddler attention spans aren’t the longest & by the time we got to “E” Caleb was about ready to move on to the cake!

Time for cake!

This one just absolutely cracks me up… you never know how little ones will react to the feeling of the frosting, and Caleb’s reaction was priceless!

Love this one!

At this point, I’ve decided that if I do a cake smash session & there’s no frosting in between their toes, we probably haven’t done it right!

This one is definitely a favorite!

Happy 1st birthday, Caleb!! It has truly been a joy to get to photograph your first year, and I’ve LOVED getting to see your parents so often too! I wish you nothing but the best as you grow up, and I hope that you keep your joyous spirit & that sparkle in your big brown eyes.

Happy Birthday, Peanut!

Sweet girl,

You are 1 year old today! You’ll get your traditional “Dear Peanut” post when I’m able to fully process you hitting this milestone. There’s a lot of mommy emotions for me that go along with this birthday for you, so bear with me.

While I’m busy simultaneously grinning and tearing up, let’s enjoy some of your cake smash photos!

Happy birthday, sweet girl, from your mama who loves you from the tip of your fluffy hair all the way to your tippy-toes. Thank you for a year that has taught me so much, given me so much joy, and brought me more love than I ever thought was possible.
