Sweet girl,

You’re 5 months old! And you’re still just the sweetest little thing!

You LOVE to grab onto things  (mostly hair but you also reach down to grab onto my finger almost every time you’re eating, and it gets me right in the heart every time).

You continue to be one of the most joyful babies – you rarely have fussy moments unless you’re hungry or getting really tired. The rest of the time is you “singing” to yourself, smiling & doing your funny little laugh.

I know it’s probably early, but I think that you’re going to have a pretty good sense of humor! You’ve started to do a little fake cough type thing, and you crack yourself up everytime. It’s adorable, Pumpkin.

You’ve reached a big milestone in being able to roll over. You roll much better from your tummy to your back, but you’ve rolled from your back to your tummy once too (perhaps with a little help from the edge of the carpet). Your sister gets so excited when you roll over, yelling “She did it! SHE DID IIIIIT!”

In addition to rolling over, you’re doing little baby crunches all. the. time. If you’re in your little play mat/jungle gym, you’ll wiggle yourself over to one of the little posts and pull yourself up on it – you make me feel like I need to work on my core to keep up with you!

That poor sticker doesn’t really stand a chance! It lasted longer on there before you noticed it than I thought it would, but once you found it – it went straight to your mouth!

You’re still loving playing with your feet and toes, and it’s pretty darn cute to watch!

I’m still hoping we’ll get to a more consistent sleep schedule at night (and that you pick the routine where you sleep alllll night), but for now I’m just reminding myself to enjoy the extra 1-on-1 time and snuggles with you while I can.

Little one, thank you for letting me be your mama. Thank you for your contagious joy, and for the continual reminder for me of what is truly important in life. I love you to the moon & back!!
