Thankful

Wow… it seems like it’s been for. ev. er. since I’ve posted! Part of me feels bad missing a day of blogging (such a change from the last sad attempt at a blog), so I did definitely have to fight feeling bad about not posting at all last week.

But it was so good.

I took the week to totally disconnect from work (for the most part at least… and partially because I couldn’t get my editing software running on my laptop). Only a few emails here or there… No blog post writing. No photo editing. No accounting. No planning. No work.

Instead, I spent a whole week with family. I spent a week with this silly little Peanut.

I spent a week with her sweet daddy who makes me laugh like no one else does.

We read lots of books, and Peanut found a deep love of a new kind of animal (more to come on that later…).

We spent a week with my in-laws and enjoyed watching Peanut love on them and make them laugh. We spent a week eating good food and going to bed early. We spent a week with three very big, very sweet dogs. We spent a week looking into Max’s past, and talking about our future. We spent a week together.

It was a week without work, and a week full of life. Really living it. And it was good.

So although I missed the typical Thanksgiving Day post about thankfulness, I am so very thankful for the break. I am thankful for the wonderful people I continue to meet through this little venture of mine. I am thankful for the sweetest (and best looking) clients I could ask for. I am thankful for where I’ve been and excited about where I am going. I am thankful for the opportunity to dive into this passion of mine on a daily basis. I am thankful for time spent working hard, and equally thankful for the time spent away from work and wrapped up in family.

(Big big big BIG thanks to the amazing Jackie Ray Photography for our new family photos!! Can’t wait to share more of them with you soon!)
