A few weeks ago Peanut and I traveled out to San Diego to spend the weekend with family. It was wonderful! So wonderful in fact, that I forgot to bring my camera with me on multiple occasions throughout the weekend. While I was initially upset about that, I think it turned out for the best… I was able to simply just be with everyone, and be in the moment without feeling like I needed to document it.
That being said, I did still take a lot of photos, so here’s a glimpse into a weekend full of food, family, pool time and great entertainment! We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, and as always it was wonderful! The staff was amazing (they sent up a box of travel size baby wash, lotion, etc. when they realized Peanut was with me), and we truly enjoyed our time. Renting the cabana space is amazing – gives our huge family a place to congregate, provides shade for those who want it and lounge chairs for those who want to soak up some sun.
The cousins had so much fun, and it was a blast to see them all together! Such a blessing to be able to have my cousins sharing this stage of life and getting to see our babies together.
My little water baby had fun in the pool, but she was just as content to make her own pool out of the drink bin!
We spent two evenings at the San Diego Summer Pops, and the shows are just consistently fabulous! We got to see Cirque de la Symphonie & Burt Bacharach.. so good!
There were many great meals shared, one of which was on the Lord Hornblower for a dinner cruise through the harbor. Can’t beat those views from the boat!
Y’all, my mom is one pretty lady!
More wonderful dinners, this one with a private patio just perfect for some portraits!
So blessed to have these two couples in my life. They have taught me a lot, and so many fond memories include them! My grandparents are the ones who make this weekend possible, and I could not even begin to thank them enough for all they are for our family!
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, as it always is when spent with my family. We were able to enjoy a lot of fun with my Mom’s family, and we were able to get with my Dad’s family to have a perfect and sweet personal service for my grandmother, followed by an amazing brunch full of laughter, a perfect ice cream toast to her, and just a few tears. It just couldn’t have worked out better.
What wonderful pictures of family and fun! Looks like a good time was had by all. Thanks for sharing!
